LP Insurance Names Heather Thompson as First Chief Financial Officer
New role underscores company’s growth trajectory and future-forward focus
RENO, Nev. – Sept. 16, 2025 – LP Insurance today announced the appointment of Heather Thompson as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO), marking a milestone in the company’s growth and positioning for the future.
Thompson, who joined LP in 2018 as a financial analyst and was promoted to controller overseeing all of LP’s accounting and finance operations in 2022, has steadily advanced by demonstrating discipline, adaptability, and a collaborative approach. As CFO, she will lead LP’s financial operations, including oversight of complex financial transactions, forecasting, and continued improvements in financial efficiency and processes.

Thompson is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience, including 15 years in the insurance industry. A Reno native, she is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and later earned a master’s from Auburn University. Prior to joining LP in 2018, Heather was a senior associate at Eide Bailly CPAs/Business Advisors. Heather enjoys everything related to college sports and the outdoors, often taking to hiking trails in and around the Lake Tahoe area.
