The semi-annual Risk Management Seminar series conducted by LP Insurance allows invited guests the opportunity to learn about timely insurance-related topics from industry leaders and compliance administrators.

The most recent seminars, held in February 2014, covered such topics as OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), Surety Bonds and Employment/Labor Law updates. Attendees heard from experts including;

Guests learned how and why compliance enforcement officials might conduct an inspection and how to be prepared. They also heard accounts from experts on what to avoid, what to do and what steps to take to prevent costly interruptions and fines.

Seminar guests also learned about new labor/employment laws and their impact on employers, new agency regulations and important Supreme Court rulings; as well as best practices and advice for becoming compliant. Drew Rapoport, President Maloney Construction in northern Calif., said, “LP’s employment law seminar provided us with valuable information to help safeguard our company and our employees’ rights and benefits.
