RENO, Nev. – August 26, 2014 – LP Insurance Services, Inc. proudly continues its Enterprise Risk Management Seminar series, recently hosting clients and guests in Reno, Nev. The most recent seminar, a joint endeavor with the accounting firm of BFBA (Brown, Fink, Boyce & Astle, LLP) in Sacramento, was held earlier this month and covered business succession planning and workers’ compensation. Attendees heard from David Cisneros, Chief Risk Officer of LP Insurance and Craig Boyce, BFBA Partner.

Guests learned how to prepare for and implement various components of a business succession plan. Arleen Henderson, a Partner in Action Electric Inc., said the event was informative and very interesting adding she is currently conducting more research on succession planning topics covered in the seminar and was moved to act stating, “I presented my notes to my partners two days after the seminar and ran the LLC Model by my accountant.”

In addition, invitees heard about best practices for workers’ compensation programs. Claudia Chambers, an Owner of Kelley Erosion Control Inc., said the seminar was enjoyable and gave her a lot to think about including taking immediate action, “When I came back to my office I requested LP provide me a [more current] post-hire form for future hires and I received it the next day.”
